Uiske will usually drool a little when she's purring and happy. But not usually to so impressive a degree.

Yeah, cats are cool in their own way, and probably lower-maintenance than dogs. But as John Grogan said in "Marley and Me," once you have your house set up to your liking, the next thing you need to do is add a roommate with claws, large teeth, and a limited grasp of English.

I stumbled upon this entry completely by accident (I was actually Googling the book Things Fall Apart and came across another entry of yours), but I did want to let you know that your cat may be drooling partially due to needing her teeth cleaned.

My cat Amber (pictured) was a major-league drooler, much like your Uiske, and when I asked the vet that was his recommendation. I sent her in for a good cleaning and scaling and it literally cleared up the problem overnight. She's still a little leaky from time to time, but it's nowhere as bad as it was.
